Dex4u Editor
All info about, how the Dex4u editor (My currant project ) is coming along will be put here, so far i have been working on it for about a week (in days, not continually ), to start with it will be for text mode without mouse support. Just to let you all know, that work on Dex4u is still going on :wink: . PS: I must say there's more to a text editor than i first thought :wink: .

Great! I look forward to seeing it in action. You are correct, there is a great deal to an editor. Imagine putting all the features of MS Word into an editor, holy smokes that would be a lot of coding...

Yeah, there was enough involved that I wasn't sure how much functionality I could achieve, given the face that all the memory blocks have to be ordered, then everything has to move if text is added in the middle somewhere... I got confused, and never had enough time to just sit down and do it, so it's not even close to done...

Once we get a basic working editor, we can all add to the code to give it more functionality. The way i find best is to brake a big problem down into lots of small problems and fix each small problem one at a time and hopfully all the small fixs will work together :lol: .

Its coming slow, but i am pleased with how its turning out, it will be a big improvement for Dex4u, i hope when members have time they can add more functions. One function that will be added to the editor, is to not only read txt, asm, etc, file, but also a special doc file called "tex", which i will and others can write tuts about programming etc, these will only be readable in Dex4u editor :wink:. Once we have a functioning editor we can convert fasm to Dex4u 8). Look forward to seeing your site update and theres lots of people that go to your site, i know as i send them, as its better the my web site.

Looks good 8). I have been trying to make a label for labling Dex4u floppy's disks, heres what i comeup with: http://www.dex4u.com/images/DexFddLable.jpg It will be printed on a 70x50 mm label, it better if you start with a bigger image. If it looks ok when printed, i will post a photo of it on the floppy disk maybe you could put it on your site, will also do one for cd, these will be included in the down load zips.

I like it, print it! ;-) I'm lurking...I should be able to get more accomplished in the coming month. This moving thing is a lot of work.

I could not find any labels for floppy printing :cry:, so i put it on a cd instead http://www.dex4u.com/images/Dex4uCD.jpg @jas2o, i could not get your to fit on a cd disk, if you can do the same design, but bigger and space round then i will print on cd and post photos.

That was a design for a floppy. I'm not bothered right now to do a cd version, I don't think mine would work anyway. Jas2o.
