DexOS on the eee pc I got my hands on a eee pc and got DexOS to run on it, without any problems 8).
The only problems, from a OS Dev's point of view is that so far i have only got it to use vesa2 640*480 32bpp and the built in mouse is over sensitive.
Here are some (bad ) photos:

Very sexy. Have to try that out tomorrow.

I used a usb key fob with a floppy image on it and i could read/write to the image fine.
I must say its a cool device, everyone thats tryed it, wants one, even people who would not touch linux.

Sorry to necro this thread, but did you have to modify any of the source to get it to boot?
Dex- 09-08-2008
No, i used a floppy image written to a usb fob, why are you having problems booting it ?.
If so let me know and i will see what i can do.
Note: The USB FOB i used as two partions a floppy and a fat16, the eee pc need floppy emulaton, So unless you have one of these fobs you will need to write a floppy image to the fob ( which will make it only 1.4 mb, you can set it back to normal by formatting the fob ).
I am writing a window program to do this ( should be ready soon), but i think you can do the same with DD under linux.

For some reason it's not booting, but I haven't had the proper time to fiddle with it. I've also yet to try booting from a SD Card ... will update if I get it working! :)

I haven't seen any UAA based HD Audio soundcard driver were written for DOS. The closest thing may be the ALSA library that written for Linux.
Dex, if you able to write a driver for it in DexOS, it will be the biggest news ever happened and it may lead to revive Win9x based OS to have HD Audio driver on today's hardware. Win9x on Eee Pc will extend the battery live since the OS used less processing power. :)

Wow very nice, I'm just searching a new OS for my EEEpc :D (I didn't like Xandros and I don't want windows)
I'm not sure but I think than some drivers of the EEEpc are open source, may be create some drivers for the EEE will be easy (Audio and Ethernet for example).
Dex- 10-02-2008
Hopefully when i get time i will write some drivers just for eee pc for DexOS 8)
