New Dex4u Dashboard(GUI)

Thanks for testing it bpsheen, this is the problem i have found with emulators, that why i do not use them. But most people only use emulators, 90% of the problems with emulators are the right setting, as the code for Dex4u stay the same and from not work, someone gets it working. As for DosBOX it was only upto 256 colors, so it will not work with the new ver, but at the site it say it now can do 32bpp, but i have not tryed it, so it will try the latest DosBox ver and let you know.

I have just try "DOSBox's" latest ver with the new Dex4u release and it works fine. But you must get the latest DOSBox ver.

alright...i ll give it a shot.......my current ver is 0.65 on windoze (just in case there is a liinux version). havent bothered with linux yet.since i havent got to time to tackle things like ndiswrapper to get the wireless card in my laptop to work with linux . and linux just requires time i just dont have (as much as i love linux) thanks baz

well, i tried dosbox again with this line to get the img running... imgmount a: c:\iso\dexiso\dexiso1.img -t iso and i have also used about 4 different versions of that including changing drive letter to c for mounted image, mounting as a cdrom not a iso (after the -t) . you get the picture.... how did you get it to run... maybe you are using the qemu image or something.... baz

I'll be free for 4 days so maybe I'll do some... ou would happen to be doing any site updating would you? Change the <title></title>, add news items... etc. Don't make me drag out Dex4u's mirror (my PHP version). Jas2o

Are you sure? Have you tried force refresh: F5, refresh data document data set. ctrl+F5, force refresh of data document cache. Jas2o

Never mind, I got a screenshot of the Media Player. It only has one track in it, but I didn't want to make a huge ISO. Now to get sound working in QEMU... I've tried loading the SB driver BTW... Jas2o

@bpsheen, I used the latest DosBoxDex4u.zip which is here: http://www.dex4u.com/download.htm imgmount A c:\Dex4u.img -t floppy ;enter then a: ;enter then a:kernel32.exe ;enter Thats its. all right, i try it out but i tried out the qmeuldex image on vmware with no luck then i found out i got a error message if i let a freedos iso boot first *that was intresting) . the iso lets me boot a floppy so then i try dosbox and wollia i got to see that beautiful gui and that nifty cpuid program. Nice work! tunnel program looks lovely in vmware btw but horrible in dosbox (maybe i can remember the key combination to make dos box go full screen. but alas HDD support does not work heres what i did in dos box. added this to dosbox.conf (autoexec area) imgmount a c:\iso\qemudex\dex4uemul.img -t floppy ;mount the qdex image mount c: c:\iso ; mount a subdirectory with some dex progs in it when i go to do a dir now, dex freezes and displays a lite blue background screen intresting huh anywayz, i also try the image u just mentioned and see what happens cheerz baz

Thanks again for info baz , i have not got hdd to work in any emulator, but work fine on real pc fat32 formated. @bubach, it is set to detected emultion and list tracks, for screenshots and to show what it does on a real pc, i have since changed the image to a normal one. Web site has updated now jas2o.
