Hello
I was thinking DexOS really needs a good game.
Something that puts us on map as a gaming OS.
I was thinking that WOLFENSTEIN3D is great start.
It is open source and can use shareware pack WL1.
This would be a lot of work for anything but a small team.
Are you up to the challenge?
Post your thoughts here... _________________ Coding a game engine in assembly is like trying to eat an elephant,

1942 game is quite simple and addictive 2D game. Almost anyone can play this game. Did thinking about Apogee's Raptor. But it too much and complicated even though it is basically in the category and concept.
The most challenging part of current situation in game making under DexOS or other console OS is whether the game capable to detect and utilize the most recent audio hardware?

My thoughts were more along the lines of Pingus, except with the Dexos logo guy and computer related scenes for them to navagate.

I think I have the source for a raycaster in asm saved some where. There is also the kelvar unREAL engine. It's a 3d engine writen for Dos unreal mode in fasm. If I'm recalling right, they aren't full games, just the engines, no objectives or any one to fight or objects to handle. _________________ Sadly DexOS is incomplete, it has no blue screen of death. Hummmm guess it's up to me to add one
